I approach therapy with an open mind that is free of judgement and full of genuine care. I use a variety of theoretical frameworks and techniques that benefit individual clients; I believe in being adaptable because everyone is unique in their perspectives, experiences, and needs. My main theoretical framework is grounded in attachment theory, while sessions are client-centred; the methods and motivation to develop positive change comes from within oneself. I naturally gravitate towards developing an empathetic understanding of my clients, which promotes strong therapeutic relationships and positive client expectations.
I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in regards to a variety of topics, which include: anxiety, depression, trauma, sports, relationships, disordered eating, OCD, & stress.
As a former school teacher, I have a well-informed perspective when supporting children, adolescents, and parents. As a long-time combat sports coach and athlete, who is still highly involved in these sports at the professional level, I offer a strengths based approach to everyday problems that is unique and effective.
