Somatic Healing and Yoga

Somatic healing is a holistic approach that connects the mind and body to address emotional, physical, and psychological challenges. By using gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and dialogue, it helps release stored tension, process emotions, and foster balance and empowerment. It’s particularly helpful for grief, anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain.

Katherine, known as Kat, is a certified yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance, with additional certifications in somatic healing and trauma-informed yoga. She has practiced yoga for years, but it became a profound part of her life after a serious injury sidelined her from her usual martial arts training. Through yoga, she found not only physical recovery but also mental resilience and emotional balance.

In 2022, she became a yoga teacher with the mission of helping her fellow martial artists build strength, flexibility, and self-care practices to prevent injuries like the one she experienced. Now, Kat is passionate about guiding her community through somatic and trauma-informed movement, empowering them to cultivate greater awareness, healing, and overall well-being.
